The kitchen exceeds expectations, it is absolutely brilliant. We are really pleased with it – thank you! It has transformed the way we use the house.

The quality of light is now fantastic – there is no natural light but because the space has been opened up we now get a lot of reflected light.

The design is brilliant – I would never have thought of the bank of cupboards but the storage is phenomenal.

We had a wonderful holiday in Croatia last year and I wanted to create something that reflected the colour and light so we chose a gorgeous blue glass splashback, a sparkly blue recycled glass feature and terracotta tiles to warm it up. We now have a piece of the Mediterranean at home. I am mounting some photos on blocks to finish it off. With the recycled glass feature you can create you own colours so it is completely unique.

We have improved our energy rating by 4% despite opening up the kitchen and increasing the light.

What I like about Urbane is that you can get exactly what you want, tailored to your individual lifestyle and taste. You get professional advice and it becomes a joint effort. We had been thinking about how to do it for a year but you pulled it all together using our ideas.

It was a difficult space being an old Victorian house and some things couldn’t be moved. The walls are not straight. There was a big bespoke element as even off the shelf the walls are wonky.

As we went ahead we had the flexibility to change things as we went – plans could evolve. It all went very smoothly.

Urbane researched which low energy lightbulbs were best; we talked about lots of different lights. Your company has great flexibility with resources and will research the best options. You have a CAN DO ANYTHING attitude and are very creative, with suggestions regarding which materials to use i.e. stone, bamboo, oak, and how to blend them so they did not look like a hotchpotch.

Recycling is very important to us and we now have cupboards designed for recycling – it’s all here - I now show people my recycling facilities! The dishwasher is very eco - low energy and low decibel - it uses very little water, less than 10 litres.

The kitchen has changed the way we cook – the layout makes it much easier and it is ergonomically functional. Before it was all bunched up. We now have more space and look out over the garden.

Opening up the space and fact that the kitchen is all down one side makes it feel so much bigger than before – it’s such a lovely space to be!.

We are delighted with our new kitchen that Urbane designed and fitted for us. From our first visit to the shop right through to completion, all of the team were extremely pleasant to deal with.

Urbane's designers proved to be a mine of ideas and were able to source so many things for us and came up with the final plans quickly and professionally, having listened carefully to how we wanted the kitchen to work for us.

When the work began on the agreed start date I was impressed at how considerate and polite Nick and his team were. I was also impressed with how well they coped with the unexpected challenges that always crop up when working on old houses like ours.

Everyone who has seen the new kitchen has said how wonderful it is – the layout is just perfect for us and we now spend a lot of our time there and are delighted at the value it has added to our property.

We realise just how much we are in debted to all at Urbane, from first to last the advice and suggestions, the gentle coercing, all led to a design which we would not have been courageous enough to choose. The kitchen is bright, and always a joy to enter, the layout is functional and admirably highlighted by some deft design touches. Thank you and all at Urbane for my lovely kitchen.  I still get a bit of a surprise walking into it even now.  It’s a pleasure to use and clean.  I am particularly pleased with my pan drawers!  The recycling bin is fantastic too.  Although I changed my design numerous times you were never fazed.  It was great to have someone who I felt I could completely trust to choose tastefully, appliances and accessories, whilst trying very hard to work to my budget.  Marco and Henry did such a fantastic job installing the units and wooden tops and finished on time even though they had unforeseen extras to complete.  A surprisingly, very hassle free experience.  Thank you

Just a note to say how thrilled we are with our new kitchen – well worth waiting for – very good design.  I now don’t have my back to everyone when cooking!  The children love the new bar area and quite often do their homework in the kitchen!  We would recommend Urbane to friends looking for a new kitchen as everything ran so smoothly and we are delighted with the end result – so a Big thank you to all!
