Pros and Cons of Recycled Glass
Recycled glass worktops and splashbacks are made from a material known RESILICA, which is produced from thousands of pieces of recycled glass, which are then moulded together to form beautiful and unique designs. Each order is unique as each batch is blended individually with resin to achieve a highly personal and beautiful result. The colours and finishes are almost limitless.
RESILICA worktops:
- Are low maintenance with a very high resistance to staining and have a life expectancy of up to 30 years.
- Are scratch, heat and impact resistant and tests have shown it has a high resistance to cigarette burns, oils, petrol, diesel, alcohol and dilute acids and alkalis.
- Can be backlit to stunning effect, transforming spaces and mood and creating individual focal points.
- Have a lead-time of between 4-8 weeks so this will need to be incorporated into your kitchen project plan.
Care and Maintenance
Recycled Glass worktops have an easy-to-clean, hygienic, highly polished surface with very high resistance to staining and do not require any sealants or waxes. Wax can be used to enhance the natural beauty. We recommend using an e-cloth or warm soapy water for cleaning.
